That time of yearʼs coming round again. The holidays will be over and your thoughts will
turn back to work. How about an opportunity to meet thousands of potential customers?

Why should you be an exhibitor?
More than 2,000 visitors will pass by your stand and more than half of them are from
Exeter and the surrounding area. 93% of last yearʼs visitors were decision makers and
75% them were there to buy or plan to buy. 98% spent longer than an hour at the event
and 58% spent longer than 3 hours. Itʼs an event that has real networking power.
But donʼt just take our word for it, hereʼs what people coming say:
Marketing Manager Ian Creek says Exeterʼs NewZapp email marketing will be at the event
for the tenth time this year, almost since the beginning! “Weʼve always found the event to
be great at developing our local profile and it is one of our main ways of promoting
ourselves in the South-West. In a world where brand awareness is important, it allows us
to develop new partnerships with exhibitors and visitors and touch base with those we met
at past events”.
Why should you visit?
Visitors will see more than 100 stands with a great mix of institutional exhibitors and small
and medium sized businesses. There will also be speed networking (remember a water
bottle!) and Meet the Buyer sessions with public contracts up for grabs. Itʼs also an
opportunity to mix with exhibitors and other visitors, find new suppliers and get business
advice. 9 seminars will also be held over the 2 days to provide a different perspective and
useful information about the way you do business.

SCOTLAND'S LEADING B2B EXHIBITION COMES TO GLASGOW
Business Scotland 2010, Scotland's leading B2B exhibition returns to Glasgow next summer on the back of the success of Business Scotland 2009. The show, which is at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall on Thursday 10 June 2010, features a wide range of attractions including businesses from SME's through to blue chips, support services and a wide range of sectors. The show aims to offer special features geared to helping businesses grow their skills base, their markets and improve their supply chains.
General Manager Rachel Fellows said: "Our Business Shows have been the market leader for some years in Southern England and we have a strong presence throughout the UK. It is always rewarding to run shows North of the Border, backing up our recruitment shows, because of the special capabilities of Scottish businesses, and their high value staff teams. In the present economic climate businesses need all the opportunities they can get to grow their sales and keep their margins down."
Barri Gilani, New Business Manager of The Royal Mail was delighted to exhibit at Business Scotland 2009. He said: “On the whole it has been a very worthwhile experience. The show was well attended - particularly by our target audience of SME’s. I would recommend this event to other organisations.” Steve Wilde, Managing Director of The Translation People, was also suitably impressed: “The exhibition has helped The Translation People to raise the profile of its Glasgow office and make many contacts in the Scottish business community.”
Gaining new contracts and generating sales to grow the business will be prime objectives for companies exhibiting and visiting at Business Scotland 2010. This unique event remains fresh and innovative and is constantly changing to meet the needs of the Scottish business community. Business Scotland allows exhibitors to maximise their full potential through raising awareness, providing networking opportunities and driving increased sales, all under one roof. Whether you are an SME or a large corporate organisation, the benefits of exhibiting or visiting are clear. This is an opportunity to develop and grow your business that you’d be mad to miss out on. Business Scotland is a business directory brought to life, representing the broadest cross-section of the regional business community.
The exhibition is free for all to visit and it is open from 10am-5pm on 10 June 2010. To be one of our successful exhibitors please contact a member of our sales team on (01823) 250579 or alternatively please visit www.business2businessshows.com for further information and to pre-register to attend the event.
BUSINESS SCOTLAND EXHIBITION A PROVEN SUCCESS
Jobserve Events of Taunton whose BUSINESS SCOTLAND Exhibition ran at the Royal Concert Halls Glasgow in June have released attendance figures and customer feedback for the event.
Show Director, Rachel Fellows said: “Both exhibitors and visitors showed a clear sense of optimism about economic recovery. We were impressed by the range of both sectors and size of company who were attracted to the exhibition. A common strand was the feeling that it is those who are ready for the recovery who will benefit from the upturn. Both buyers and sellers were clear that it won’t be enough to do what they have always done before – new vision and commitment is needed to keep old customers loyal and to find new markets.
“Especially heartening was the Meet the Buyer section, and the willingness of public sector bodies to engage with private sector suppliers. Business Scotland Exhibition were proud to work with Supplier Development Programme, Business Gateway & Scottish Chambers of Commerce to achieve this. In particular visitors welcomed the opportunity for SME’s (Small to Medium Sized Enterprises) to bid for significant contracts with major organisations, and get assistance in understanding how procurement processes work at this level of the marketplace.
“Our plans are very much for a strong return to Glasgow in 2010, but we are also being asked to exhibit elsewhere in Scotland. Scotland remains a crucial market in our future plans.”
Business Scotland was held at The Royal Concert Halls, Glasgow, on
23 & 24 June 2009. Business Scotland 2009 saw an increase in visitors and is pleased to have registered 2003 people from the business community wishing to network with over 50 exhibitors from across the country and a further 35 buyers within the Supplier Development Programme’s Meet the Buyer Event.
LOOKING FORWARD TO BUSINESS SOUTH WEST? YOU BET WE ARE!
Business South West, to be held this year at the Westpoint Arena in Exeter on 15 and 16 October 2009, is an important event for Convallis Software. Last year, they decided to launch their new customer relationship management and email marketing programme Convallis CRM at the exhibition. Both the launch and the event were a great success for them as they reached potential customers they would never have been able to meet otherwise. They are now keen to show off the new enhanced version at this year’s event.
One of the company’s founders, Elaine Isaacs says she does a lot of networking and the show will provide another opportunity to do so with speed networking events held across the two days and Meet the Buyer sessions where businesses will be invited to pitch to local public and private sector organisations for larger contracts. The show had almost 3,000 visitors last year and is looking to attract more in 2009. It should therefore prove to be a very cost-effective way of getting new business.
Business South West has been running for 15 years and is aimed at owners, managers and potential
tycoons from across the South West. It represents a broad range of sectors and offers a unique
opportunity to get products, services, advice and inspiration. To pre-register, go to www.business2businessshows.com for more information and fast track entry to the show in the day.
